With Billings' first class record he wouldn't have been a shoe in for the Test side even with the likes of Buttler and Bairstow not around.

Posted: Sun Dec 13, 2015 10:43 pmNo way is Billings good enough for the Test side. Only has 1 hundred in his County Championship career and that was on a flat deck at Tunbridge Wells this year.
Exceptional in limited overs though. A shoe in for the World T20 squad.

over the likes of alec stewart, matt prior, alan knott etc
