It wouldn't have felt fair to the other bowlers to be bowling again. They had their turn in the first match. Anyway the 1st Test will be a Test wicket with Test batsmen. Different to warm-ups. Win the toss and England will want to bat first. Won't be wanting to face Yasir Shah on the last day.

I'm not sure it is going to matter which day we face him on

We are notoriously bad against leg spin, even Steve Smith causes our batsmen problems

Wonder if Finn and Patel's wickets will make a difference. If England really want a specialist third seamer, Stokes' place might come under threat from Patel. Though I'm still expecting the team from the first game to start the series.

Finn says he doesn't expect to ply in the first test.

I think he has a decent chance.

Last time England played in UAE they won the two warm ups. When they beat the PCBXI, Yasir took eight out of the thirteen England wickets to fall.

Hong Kong have announced that England will play a 50 over warm up match against them ahead of the ODI series. Pakistan are playing Nepal. Good to see the associates getting some games at last.

Not a good game for Ali or Hales with the bat.

Will we get 12 wickets as well?

I suppose this means Bell is 100% going to play in the first Test, rather than 99.9% certain. Looks like Taylor will miss out unless Buttler is dropped.

Going by the first game, these two should retire now.

Maybe they are considering Bell as opener so that Taylor can play.

They'd have to leave out Moeen for that to work, as he's the predicted opener. They'd still have to leave someone out.

Surprising Hales didn't open.

Or Stokes.
