This display by SA will certainly encourage England in their upcoming series.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Indeed, though our spinners in south africa won't have quite the same impact.

Given some of indias away performances this seems harsh

Had south Africa produced a load of green tops the same thing would have happened to India

Agreed. Jadaga looks brilliant here yet I saw Bell take him apart at Southampton last year.

Don't know the stats but wondered what percentage of series have been won by away sides in the last few years.

jadeja is a roller who is fairly toothless on pitches that don't turn

Even ashwin averages 50+ away from Asia

Indeed Ginger but I was thinking more of the psychological impact on the SA batsmen. We saw what the 2012 experience did to England in the UAE where our batsmen struggled afterwards at home.

That's what I was thinking many of their batsmen will be low on confidence and worried about there place in the side

What's happened to South Africa recently?? Is it that they just can't play spin or are some of their batsmen simply not good enough?

Makes you wonder why we left one of our better spinners out?

I dont think spin will have much of an impact in south African conditions

especially given the quality of ours and their spinners

Recent additions in the batting look poor, and not really sure why the have stuck with Elgar and especially Duminy for so long. Not really sure why they have ABDV at 4 either, the bloke averages over 60 at 5 in 50 tests, why mess with something that works?

Has he bowled that well? He has one wicket at 95 in the series.

He looks better with the beard.

ABDV is the top run scorer in the series, but only VJ averages over 40 (41). I wonder if this is the lowest rpw for a series ever, or at least since 1900.

Availability of Steyn and Philander might be big factors.

Awesome cricket payed by our team. We already have enough on board to win this test + 10 wickets intact. :dance Jinx is the first centurion of the series. Good knock from him. :clap
