Reverse swing could be a factor still in the last dozen overs.

300 is not a big deal with India. For me our team chasing 300 does not worries me given the number of prolific players we have in ODI team .If our team don't score 300 then it gets so much criticism because we expect so much from our batsmen due to their quality. Trend has been set by openers like Rohit who has scored 2* 200, Sehwag 200*1 and Sachin 200*1. When our openers get set they convert start to larger ton and we have Virat at 3 who has scored 174? and significant tons. Then prolific players like Raina and Dhoni who have ODI tons as well. Ajinkya has set in well and he plays at 3 whenever we lose quick wicket. He is one more floater in the batting lineup. The ODI skills they posess of pacing innings is so nice that the change in their batting position does not affects as much as it affects other players that they actually get an excuse for under performance. It's good to have a very flexible batting lineup in modern ODI cricket. Ajinkya is a new floater who ahs been used as per the match situation. The WC knock against Steyn and co. showed he can do damage of highest order to the best of the pace bowler in world. Good addition.

I have to say that the lbw for Dhawan looked like a bad decision, so SA got lucky there as Dhawan looked in better knick than Rohit.

These 2 just need to keep it going and not get too carried away - if we can not gift wickets to Tahir we should win this.

AC's right about the reverse swing later, but if we keep wickets in hand and a healthy run rate along the way then it shouldn't matter too much

India keeping up with the run rate.

Good partnership so far. India have the advantage so far but a couple of wickets soon will make it a close game.

slightly dodgy signs for India here - at 30 overs we were 176/1. needing 128 off 120 balls. Now we need 100 off 74 balls so that gap has widened a lot quite quickly with only 28 runs off the last 46 balls.

Ind need to be careful here to make sure that this doesn't continue

Kohli out to Steyn and nine an over to get, so a slim, notion of a chance for South Africa.
