Feels like they started a marathon, and have had to give up with two miles to go.

Yadav's Test economy rate is down from 4.26 to 4.05 after all that blocking.

Amazing fight shown by SA. Amla and ABDV - hats off. They have won a lot of fans in India by their display.
Excellent from Ashwin and Umesh at the end. This is why we need someone like Umesh - to clean up the tail. He needs to get more consistent bowling at the top order though.
Also, hats off to Rahane, excellent batting in such tough conditions.

all in all, amazing series, which takes India to No 2 in ICC rankings :-)

Good sense of humour there Dilbert.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Saw that in the stadium, how he was applauded and appreciated. A lot of comments on Cricinfo too appreciating their effort. Not sure why you think that's not possible...
ABDV has a huge fanbase in India. He has now shown he has another dimension to his batting. And a lot of people have appreciated that.

A good effort by SA. Unusual to see such a blockade but it nearly worked.

As I often say on here... that's the way to draw a match, but only SA seem to try it. Too late, but their effort does them credit, in a dead rubber too.

I'm seeing a lot of critics laying in to SA's performance. Personally I think it is a testament to the battling quality of a test match. Play like this is just as much a part of the game as the T20 style hitting. Amla, De Villkers and Du Plessis all should be praised but this series will be remembered for Jadeja and R Ashwin.

This is one of those games where the scorecard will in no way reflect the reality of the game.
