I know nothing about this guy , seems a bit of a left field selection as his stats don't look particularly impressive, in fact they look pretty poor

Had a good first-class season with lots of fifties. He's a clean striker of the ball and could maybe be the next Watson (batting wise). Much better than his limited overs record suggests.

still seems a bit of a punt picking a guy for the national team who has only played 9 competitive t20 games and averages 13

Yep, definitely is a punt. Talented but not sure if he'll make it at this level. Even if he does perform i doubt he'll have a permanent place as he's just taking Faulkner's spot while he's banned.

T20I tomorrow. The rain is due to break. Feels a long way to come for Cameron Boyce to bowl four overs, not being in the ODI squad.

australia are the favourites according to the bookies

i fancy england to win and hales top scorer, with odds of 7/1 it feels rude not to put a few quid on it

With the rain and cloud around in Cardiff, might be another one for the English type seamers. Unless we're going to move onto roads for the limited overs games.

Lest we forget, the squad.

Moeen in for Root at 3. Then someone in for Wood (rested from this squad but not the ODIs) - Woakes the more senior man so most likely? But would be good to give Topley a go. Vince probably only gets in if they decide to rest Stokes.

You're leaving out Vince and Topley?

Apologies if this has already been covered, just read the ODI venues and how come Old Trafford are hosting two ODIs :hmmm

Durham gave back the game.
Which is why edgbaston last year hosted 2 limited over games against India and old Trafford hosting two against australia.
Although the edgbaston one was fine had a gap and was another format but old Trafford is just daft 2 games in space of a few days.

Thought this was on tomorrow for some reason.
