I remember Swann calling him the nicest man in cricket after the latest whitewash.

So 4 days to wait, I just hope I can get a live feed. Mind you a will most likely not get anything done if I do get a feed.

Oh happy 4th of July to all the Americans on this forum.

Is Cummins likely to be picked ahead of Siddle?

Siddle has got the feeling of an outmoded design now Australia no longer need to eradicate the threat of Pietersen. Like having that attachment on your penknife to remove stones from a horseshoe. Since the short period when he carried their attack magnificently, he's been a bit of a blunt tool. I like him for some reason though, so I'd quite like him to have a good series.

Difficult to bowl on one leg, not to mention virtually no match practice. He may well have only made the last test or two.

Harris should have never come back so soon and his rehabilitation under Australian cricket needs to be investigated.

Obviously not seen what the other quicks have done of late.

Siddle will bring control to the line up if needed. Playing in both warm up games means that he is still in Australias plans. But the 3 quick spots are taken, and unless injury or fatigue plays a part, Siddle won't get a game.

Five games since the last Ashes, nine wickets at 67. But if the cricket is attritional, as it could well be in this weather, then he could contribute.

With Harris gone the Strength in depth does not look so good now.

I don't think so yuppie, i suspect he was included in the squad more in hope than expectation and that plan A was to expect the worst. Sad news for those who admired his bowling which was exceptional.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Stats of pace bowlers' SR against top eight sides, in Tests since 2000, minimum 100 wickets. Harris splitting Mitch1 and McGrath.

True, it just looks worse on paper, in reality he probably should not have been picked.
