I wonder how Bayliss is getting on with all this stuff, how the ECB and selection works and so on. Will he have a say or be given a squad? I can't remember whether he's a selector or not.

Are they back from this boot camp lark because Broad's just had a go about Smith at 3, immediately after Cook has rambled on about the series being in the right spirit - Lehmann lapping it all up as well he might.

What a bunch of clowns.

Are Fraser and Newell our selectors below Whittaker?

There's been so much change recently I can't remember who is in a job or out of one.

Yes. Strauss chose the captains of course. I remember him saying a while ago that he wasn't sure how selection would work.

the headlines for the article on Broad's comments looked far worse than the actual article. It made sense, that the best time to test Smith's technique is with the moving ball.

Just read this on BBC sport

England pace bowler Mark Wood says a past incident with Shane Watson has him looking forward to bowling to the Australian in this summer's Ashes.

He may not even make the team so I hope you have a plan B Mark.

Can't believe Wood already has a feud. He's only played two Tests, and they were against the Waltons. I mean the Kiwis.

He hasn't got the language right. He means he's targeting Shane Watson.
