You really are obsessed with Gayle, aren't you?
:halo:
Newsflash...the batting lineup has a string of failures in the side:

Dwayne Smith 21

Lil Bravo 0

Marlon Samuels 10

Denesh Ramdin 6

Jonathan Carter 7

Darren Sammy 12

Andre Russell 7

Jason Holder 1

All of these guys are supposed to be good at batting....

Who will they blame when Gayle retires from ODi cricket after the World Cup?
:point
Simmons hits 45, which is good enough to earn him a place in the starting Xi for the first match.
:facepalm

I am only obsessed with Gayle because of the hype he continues to generate and people still talking up how he will 'blow' a side away in the WC. This is not a T20 slogathon, this is proper cricket.
Also, you continuously defend Gayle based on the "no alternatives" factor when he has actually done worse than almost every other guy who has opened for WI in ODIs since Nov 2012.

Woakes bowls a lot better when he doesn't have Anderson and Broad telling him what to bowl after every delivery.

not gonna be much of a warmup for the batsmen, one way or the other

Very favourable conditions in Sydney today (cool and overcast), but well done Woakes for taking advantage.

But yes, not much of a warmup for batsmen. So why send out the most in form batsmen, Taylor and Bell? Why not let those who are struggling (Bopara, Morgan) or even Hales have a knock about given that they'll be under no pressure whatsoever chasing this total?

Not much of a warm up.

do you ever not blame someone else when a warks player has a bad game ?

woakes needs to learn from guys like Anderson if he is going to get to the level he needs to be ?

When are you going to stop stalking me. I hardly can post any comment without you jumping on it. It seems you've decide to take over from where D/L left off.

Nobody can tell how any game is going to pan out. You play to win surely - good to see that England did that instead of backing off just to get some 'practice'.
