Brook's strength of smashing balls all and sundry is also a weakness. Needs to take a leaf out of Joe Roots book, by looking to be busy, content in taking singles and not chase every delivery for a boundary.

Even in T20 if you've just lost 2 quick wickets you have to rebuild for a couple of overs. Especially when chasing and you know how many you need and the RRR is under control.

They managed to lose 3 quick wickets twice in one innings

In these chases someone in the top order needs to do a Dhoni and take some responsibility and say il be there at the end and win us the game

All series we've been relying on carse, Overton, rashid and archer to score runs because the top order are batting like it's a 10 over match

I don't really like t20 much at all and this series is meaningless but it sums up where we are as a side

Maybe the return of root will give us at least one player prepared to glue the sloggers together in the champions trophy.

Tbh it'd probably be good for the side if we flopped in the champions trophy if it meant buttler was removed as captain. Give it to brook with maybe livingstone as vice. Brook batted much better when he was captain.
