I'm not, that's why I didn't know why Potts left the field. Seems to be a bit of cramp, so hopefully not too much to worry about

I've only seen bits of highlights on the bbc live feed and followed the commentary on crapinfo

Sounds as though Alex Lees needed to take a chill pill during the tea interval

Think there were about 3 run out scares in the short session before tea and at least one would have been out with a better throw. A weakness as we have seen with Durham.

England batsmen now doing what they do best...... following each other back into the dressing room

Lees obdurate innings comes to an end. Doubtless the talk will be all about where he chose to take his guard against Southee

4 down and they haven't managed to get past NZ's poor total yet

NZ fighting back.....England still should be miles Infront...

14 wickets in a day...ticket sales were already low, disaster for the bean counters. This could be over on Saturday afternoon

How do you sum up a day like that? Ridiculous positives, ridiculous negatives ...

Game is about even, England probably 10-20 ahead at this point.

Batting last they might have to bowl well to stay in this. But hey, ignoring the amount of runs l, it's a match they aren't out of yet

Oh blimey!

I never follow much of the final session when I've got the highlights to watch... keeps me interested to the end

I think NZ are going to end up with a lead, which if it happens is criminal. If Big Mac thought this job was easy after 50 overs of play then 30 overs later he'll have been disabused of that notion

I suppose the really annoying thing was that England's 3 most experienced batters were the ones who fell in a heap at the first hint of pressure

At the tea interval there were 42 overs remaining, so presumably 48 bowled, of which 2 were for the turnaround. They finished at 6.30 so they must have been around 10 overs short on the day's play. That's pretty shoddy when the price of a ticket for that day's play was 160 quid

actually it's wrse than that... it was 12 overs short

now nobody could claim to have been shortchanged from a day like that, but the play won't always be like that, yet the shortfall on overs probably will be

Someone in authority needs to make a decision about this, because it happens the world over in seemingly every test. Either they enforce the over rate with penalties... proper ones... or they accept that the technology and DRS and such like has changed the game and reduce the expected daily overs with a proportionate reduction in ticket prices, so that the ordinary punter isn't having his/her eyes taken out every time they stump up vast quantities of cash to watch a test match

No way!

Ten years ago I had vague plans to spend time in retirement watching Test matches. But at those prices it would be inconceivable, even if I still had the urge.
