He served up an absolute pie of a half volley in session 1, then got stroppy with Stokes at Mid-off being out of position when Labu smashed it past him for 4..... Stokes was not out of position, and you could sense Archer's frustration was still lingering.
I guess post-series, if England lose (and they might have all but done that by the weekend if they go 2-0 down), some of these moments will be dug up. Even Stokes, dripping with hostility, answering a reporter the other day about that helmet thing like he was talking to his mother who had just smacked his bum with a wooden spoon.... the optics and his face were bathed in defeatism. He could have easily answered with a grin and smile and it gone away....
He usually does that. You really get the sense the team are on the edge.
