great fightback by India. Took the last 7 wickets for 70-ish. Jadeja being the main man here.

Diwali vacations and holidays, yet the small Wankhede stadium is not packed to capacity . Many seats vacant. Shows the way team has been playing.

Homeground for Yashasvi, Rohit and Sarfaraz.

Ajaz Patel also lived in Mumbai before moving to NZ.

Rohit dropped on 15 by William at DBSL Matt still gets him out on 18 though. Easy catch to Tom Latham at 2nd slip. Rohit continues to fail with the bat. Thus was his homegrown.

Shubman takes strike as India are 25/1.

Very bad shot by Yashasvi. Trying to play a reverse sweep on the ball pitched full on leg stump line.

India 78/2.

Ind 78/3.

It was SO plumb.

Rules for a Nightwatchman should be: Protect your wicket at all costs - but don't (do NOT) burn a review.

What I have seen is a great day of test cricket.

Sensational final session and fantastic day of test cricket!!! Who knows what siraj was thinking there but definitely NZ day! Gambhir could have a very short tenure here...not sure he will survive the side getting whitewashed at home should NZ go on to win this test match

3-0 whitewash very likely now. Already was the worst home series loss for India before this test.

NZ have been superb and outperformed Indian team comprehensively throughout this series. They will be mighty pleased about this historic whitewash.

NZ seemed to be in steep decline, so this is a big boost for them.

Certainly Andy, , Gauti will be under tremendous pressure. No other Indiam coach had lost series in such way at home. India won't make the test finals this time after this loss I guess. Doubt if Gauti will be removed after this series. Likely to be 0-3 whitewash. Take nothing away from NZ who have comprehensively beaten India. It is not about losing, but the fight that you put even during loss is important. It was only a week or so back he was trying to be smart in an interview. In a way it is good that NZ have shown the reality checr to this bunch of Indian test batters by fully exposing their weakness. The aspects in which improvements are required are now we'll highlighted. Something which ranking had masked in last few years since World Test Championship started and India were in top 2. Brings the players down from moon to earth. Test cricket is not about whacking the ball like in T20i or ODI .
