I can not find the match where Botham opened with Tavere at Adelaide and scored 63. Strange I seem to remember exactly where I was sitting :?

Wasn't 1983 was it? I don't think Tavare toured in 87 or onwards from that. Or maybe it was Beefy and Athey?

OK, I'm researching at the moment. I'll check those years out.

I just have. He scored 60 odd at Perth in 87, but coming in down the order. Done nothing in 1983.

I just found it, It was January 29th 1983. Botham scored 65 and was out with the score on 75.

Funny thing is I wasn't in Adelaide in 1983. Oh dear I need to start taking some of those crappy memory pills they keep advertising on the telly.

I was at the triple header in 87 though because I definitely remember Richards hitting a six onto the old tin roof of what ever stand that was. :slap

Yes I had to google List of Ian Bothams scores. Couldn't find it on cricinfo.

England V New Zealand, where England score 296 and incredibly for back then New Zealand chased them down.

Interesting that Hadlee scored 79 off 64 deliveries to win the match.

No, cricinfo doesn't seem to have it. Thought it must have been 83.

Good news for James Faulkner fans, he only has a side strain. Sadly, he'll probably miss the opening game against England.
"Hey, doll. Could you scare up another round for our table over here? And tell the cook this is low grade dog food. I've had better food at the ballgame, you know? This steak still has marks from where the jockey was hitting it." Al Czervik, aka Rodney Dangerfield in "Caddyshack" (1980)

Sadly for you. No, I'd rather try and beat a full strength Aussie team.
