Archer looks cooked, Carse is bowling like a drain, Stokes has been sloppy, and Atkinson has bowled ok without really threatening.

This is the part of the match irrespective of whether its light or dark, you need to throw the ball to the spinner. Give someone a rest for a last hour charge.

But England picked a part timer who they clearly didn't trust to bowl this afternoon after one bad over.... so I guess its time to flog the paceman for more half paced overs of rubbish

The evidence of the series is that England have been hugely helped by the injuries to Cummins and Hazlewood, but haven't taken advantage.

On the other hand, starting at Perth and Brisbane (DN) was always stacking the bigger challenges upfront...

There would be a splendid serendipity for the Aussies if England drag themselves to Adelaide and have to face the full strength Aussie attack. Including Lyon.
