I'm still struggling to work out why NZ asked India to bat

feels foolish in the extreme... did they not watch the England/India SF?

Samson has hit some very fine form just when it mattered the most

Dew is one of the most important factor in second innings of night matches in India.

I think India also won the recently played bilateral series against NZ in India by 4-1 iirc. So I guess some learnings from that series and observations about Indian team in this WC. Also they must have thought they are good to chase against Indian bowling which has just 3 specialist bowlers. :dunno

India has a phenomenal record in T20i series. haven't lost tone in last 2 years :?:

Win percentage is huge.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is not even in squad. The batting strength is just too much for this format., so much that India can actually play 4 specialist bowlers.

Thanks Durham. :thumb

I don't like our test and ODI team, but seeing this T20 team win it's a great feeling. I still think Yashasvi Jaiswal should be in all three teams. Instead they picked Shubman as all format batsman but dropped him recently from this WC. Also made me drop him for my all year Fl because of messing with the selections. :no

The way the team is playing T20i inspite of some selection blunders like Yashasvi not there and 3 specialist bowlers only, the winning streak is phenomenal This T20i team thoroughly deserves a win.

Bad luck to NZ. Came against a very strong Indian team in the finals that too at home. Still the second best team of this tourney. :clap
