it shows how good pujara and kohli were yesterday, from what i have seen of this pitch you would expect a team winning the toss and batting first to be making 450 as it wasn't really helping seam or spin much

can play alot of "what ifs" tbh

there is a difference between good bowlers bowling poorly and mediocre bowlers bowling as good as they are capable of

stokes, ansari, rashid and ali are all going to bowl a few "four balls"

its one of the reasons i thought before the bangladesh series that batty should be the 3rd spinner if we were going to play 3 as he is the one that in theory is most likely to tie up an end

as with my previous comment you cant really play "what if" as we dont know what would have happened had england batted yesterday

i stand by my comment, on this pitch, with the relative strengths of the teams then 450 is what you would have expected from india batting first, so not really just a sign of poor bowling from england

i know strauss has denied it but cook did drop a hint that he might give up the captaincy in the near future

he doesn't strike me as someone who would be happy giving up the captaincy but continuing as a batsman

hope i am wrong as i think he has at least 2-3 more years in him as a batsman
