Ending a huge stand of 22 runs. But probably not valuable runs.

If SA get anywhere near this I'll give up cricket and take up tiddlywinks.

None of the south Africans have found a method to score runs

They have almost zero chance of getting this

There only chance is AB De Villiers

When was there a last green test pitch. Any pitch which doesn't offer a reasonable balance between bat and ball is a bad pitch but a pitch such as this which starts to spin so greatly on day one is a disgrace and the ICC should ban international cricket there for a while as they did somewhere recently. The Groundsman said it would spin after tea on day one so clearly SA were ambushed by design.

Nine down. SA often a resilient side though. In Tests anyway.

At least pitches like this take the toss out of play

Quite often in the sub continent it is win the toss win the match as it is flat for two days then turns square at the end

5-38 for tahir, he should have bowled earlier

I will predict SA will be 30/4 at stumps.

They've survived the first 4 overs without a hitch.

They aren't using their feet
They aren't sweeping
They are just prodding at it, then wondering why they keep getting out

17/0.

SA had already lost 5 wickets by this score in the first innings.
