England may have lucked out in test cricket, but this continual picking T20 players for 50 over cricket is becoming very annoying.

Sam Curran is crap in 50 over cricket, why is he there? Why is Carse? Why is Atkinson? None of them have done anything in 50 over cricket!! And Livingstone is there as an 5th actual bowler...

After the debacle of the world cup, and now this squad... England need to let some heads roll in the back office.

LL doing a good job.

Hope understands how to play ODIs, when to soak up pressure. When to hit his 7 6s, when it was needed.....

Buttler 179 4964 runs at 39.42 11/25
Hope 119 5049 runs at 51.52 16/24

Curran worst ever figures for England in an ODI :no

Against a team that didn't even qualify for the WC

Hope's huge batting average is like a ball and chain for his team, because he bats like its 1970. Never had a yerly ODI strike rate above the 70s until this year, and that's boosted by the fact they have played 7 different non-test playing nations. I once said I would instruct my side to purposefully put him down in ODI matches, and I wasnt joking.. the longer he takes time out the game selfishly going nowhere for his stats, the worse the teams prospect of winning is.

Cant honestly tell me Buttler and Hope are in anyway comparable?

I prefer the slower method of batting in ODIs :hide

Change of fortune for Sam Curran. I was expecting him to be dropped.

Jacks is getting a bowl, but at the expense of LL

Hope still doing what he does when playing against England

100 partnership in 20 overs. Handy but pedestrian.

maybe he fancies hitting 20 sixes in the last half dozen overs

2 quick wickets for LL, but Hope is still there and he's now been joined by Slugger Shepherd with 17 overs to run amok

163-6
