Lees got out to the first ball that targeted his stumps missing the ball, Crawley has the most Crawley innings ever... off the mark to a straight drive sent from heaven, then loses all of his shape wildly swinging at a ball he should slot away easily.

Root at 3 or 4.... difference is only a few balls everytime, so who cares

I suppose it really makes no practical difference if Joe is at 3 or 4.

:lmao See above.

Great catch from the keeper for that wicket, though.

Root edges and is dropped from a terrible uppish drive from a nothing ball....

Roach responds with an inswinger and Root just watches it hit his off stump...

I think Windies have bowled 2-3 good balls all morning, and its 27-3...

Woeful

Stokes comes in, blocks one, lets another go... then premeditates a rather bizarre walk down the pitch which takes him to no mans land as the ball thunders through to the keeper.

Nothing like that to fill you with hope of a fightback

Kind of day where I wonder if I go for a walk 4-5 wickets will fall.

WI won't bat any better though.

Holder coming on... think this is his sort of pitch

Two drops suggests the kind of sloppy fielding that will allow England to wriggle off the hook...

Holder challenging Stokes, Stokes responding by again coming down the wicket and not really getting near the ball.... Stokes has to keep his head here. At the moment he's the one to blink first

Jason Holder has been brilliant, giving nothing away... finally gets a crack at Lawrence, and this time it isnt dropped by Blackwood (third time lucky).

Top quality spell this. Everytime I watch Holder I cant work out why his average is so high.

Suppose he's used more as an old ball bowler at times.

Got to be a good chance Lawrence will be top scorer.

Amazing spell from Holder: 5-5-0-1.

England drop anchor and stop the bleeding, but its a session where they lost wickets to average bowling

No chance. Gentle Ben cashing in after a lucky start.
