Dropped return catch by Siraj. That wasn't hit back hard by Nathan Lyon. Australia would have been all- out on 174 had Siraj taken this :no

Dropped by Rohit. Sir creates another chance as Nathan Lyon tries to guide at past Rohit at slip. Rohit should have taken this. Bad luck to Jaddu. 5 catches have been dropped by India in this inning.

Looks a fascinating night's cricket, and match still in the balance. But scores getting lower over the match suggests Aussies are well placed.

India 369 all out

Reddy 114
Jaiswal 82
Sundar 50

Boland 3-57
Cummins 3-89
Lyon 3-96

The lower order saved the blushes of the top order. Except Jaiswal, of course.

That last wicket stand has just about ended any chance of an Indian win (barring a remarkable innings from someone !) : scoring over 330 in less than a full day on a fifth day pitch seems a tall order - and I doubt Australia will declare overnight. But whether this means an Aussie win or a draw is anyone's guess.

Has been an excellent Test Match. Swings and roundabouts... Hopefully some tension tomorrow rather than a fizzle out.

It has been a great test so far. Australia bossed it for most of the first 2.5 days, then India clawed their way back to even having the upper hand, only for that last wicket partnership tilting the game a little back in Aus' favour.

Tomorrow promises to be another very interesting day.

imo how Yashasvi and KL play will decide the Indian batting innings.

Rohit is in horrible form. The way he got out in first innings trying to pull was more or less similar when he was dismissed at Headingley test on England tour. Any runs from him are bonus and the onus is on Australia to dismiss him below 10 runs. That's the pressure he has put on Australian bowlers :facepalm Yashasvi is the key batsman and most in form on this tour. KL has not scored as many as Yashasvi, however he has been able to soak up the pressure by facing decent number of balls.
Virat has failed whenever he has had to face new balls; the times when Yashasvi or KL haven't seen off many overs. If they both flop, then this is Australia's match. If Yashasvi and KL see off many overs and survive till lunch, then we can see a change in run scoring. Virat won't have to face a new ball, Rishabh and Washington can be expected to play clutch knocks like they have done in last series. Nitish is high on confidence.

Rohit just needs to play ultra aggressive at the start and try to hit himself into form i reckon. He's gonna get out playing normally anyway.

Jaiswal will be very dissapointed. He's dropped the game.

Looks a clear pattern that it gets a lot easier to bat after 40 overs

Indeed, 3 dropped catches by Yashasvi have helped Australia score so much after they were 91/6.

Siraj and Rohit also dropped a catch each, but Yashasvi was easily the worst catcher.

The soft ball after 40 overs will work on Indian wickets which offer spin and spinners wait for the ball which actually starts to wear off. As you said here and in the SA match as well, the batting has been better once decent number of overs have been bowled and the ball has got softer.
