Was an obvious deflection
The ball changed paths as it passed the bat
onfield umpire gave it not out and the 3rd umpire overturned it based on what he saw on snicko tho, not based on any deflection
It was out either way
Definitely hit it
Whether the right decision was made for the wrong reason is a different matter
sorry dont agree
the process is meant to be that the onfield decision stands unless there is conclusive evidence it was out and there was enough doubt there to mean it should have stayed with the original decision

Any news of Reiffel. I see Erasmus is out there.

Hence why I said right decisionfor the wrong reason
There was a clear deflection but the umpire used it the technology incorrectly
Arthur Crabtree wrote:Bringing Buttler in at seven as a specialist bat feels a bit like mending the car's fan belt with your girlfriend's stocking at the side of the road. The best you can do with what is to hand, and it might just work until something more permanent can be arranged.
One wicket in 27 overs for Sir J is perhaps too little. Going at 2.7 an over too.

Now are you pleased with yourself, getting Woakes out is a blot on your record.

sorry for being pedantic but i dont think he used the technology wrongly, he didn't apply the process correctly
its not the job of the 3rd umpire to decide if a batsman is out or not, his job is to decide whether the decision made by the onfield umpire was correct and is only meant to overturn if he has conclusive evidence, and i just think there was enough doubt there not to overturn it
