agree I was the same when I bowled, although when I got taller got the yips in the nets since the metal bar halfway distracted me, but was ok outside just the nets were an issue for me.

used the stump as my marker not the run up.

I would imagine 80% of pace bowler are the same.

We've seen that dismissal from Balance before, attempting to play a cut shot to a ball too close to him. Chris Woakes gets the short straw.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

not really got a chance to score an hundred rather than bat after Ali and being stuck with the tail.
can play like a proper batsman tomorrow.

I don't expect the rest of our top/middle order to be as good as Cook and Root but I do expect them to play better than they do.

This could be a great chance for Woakes to show he's worthy of batting higher.

Didn't Gangualy once come out to bat to protect Sachin in Australia? Not sure there are many better NW than that.

Actually Dravid or laxman.

Tendulkar can not bat in the top 3, he known to have tantrums in the past, well not tantrums but told dravid or laxman to go ahead of him if an opener gets injured.

although not sure if dravid or laxman did the nightwatchmen thing, haven't heard about the ganguly story.
Do know dravid/laxman done it couple of times because of tendulkar but not as a nightwatchmen but just changing the batting order because of injuries.

That would definitely top CW. How on earth did that happen though? Was it just an over left of something, and why wouldn't they have sent in 9 or 10 instead?

found it Ganguly did do it.

tendulkar always wanted nightwatchmen maybe ganguly wanted to bat since india didn't have much of a tail in that series.
