But our middle order is prone to collapsing these days

not on this occasion. England bring it home with 4 balls to spare, which is good to see.

If they are going to lose 4 wickets in 8 overs of spin at an econ of 6, then they perhaps need to push a bit harder at the start and give themselves a cushion rather than watching the RR climb up to 11 and hope that Morgs/Buttles/Stokes come off at the end

Had Rashid not been the standout bowler from both sides they could very well have had a much stiffer target to chase down. At one point NZ must have been thinking that 200 was an achievable target to set, so England need to think long and hard about their seam options

chris jordan opening the bowling is a joke

one thing you need from an opening bowler in t20 is accuracy, you have to make the openers take risks to hit boundaries, jordan just gives freebies

I would be tempted to play Dawson and go in with three spinners and three seamers

Agree with that.

Ravi might have been a useful selection. Topley, Stokes, Ravi, Rashid, Mo and Dawson. Though Plunkett is an attractive option. And Willey.

Wonder why Plunkett bowled only one over. OK, he went for 19, but this was a practice match.

I guess this is the England team to start.

given how long it has taken to drop some of the players in this format, it seems a little harsh
