Hardly surprising England are light on hundreds : apart from their known weakness in that department many of the batsmen in this squad have barely started their ODI careers. On the other hand I see England are fairly prominent in four wicket bowler hauls - largely down to Broad and Anderson. All just history once the action starts this time though.
Do think Sri Lanka will go well though ... all that experience has to count. As long as they don't bump into Australia or SA in Perth...
I think how sri lanka do will eventually depend a lot on malinga and/or pitches , if we see a lot of very flat decks it might take their spinners out of the game and I don't think their seamers, malinga apart, are good enough, and having been out of the game for a bit we don't know how effective malinga will be
having said that, assuming there are no shocks and the expected 8 get the the quarters, I think all of them have enough individual difference makers to win a game and in one-off knock-out matches all it really takes is one guy to have a crazy day with bat or ball to win a game
