The much maligned Alex Hales is second only to Steve Smith for runs scored in ODIs his year.

Why is WASP only showing 23% for England?, they are ahead of the rate and only one wicket down. I think they'll do it.

To protect him, rather than wearing a helmet. There was an incident last year where an umpire was killed after being struck by the ball.

Ah right. Think he might be better wearing a helmet as well. In fact all umpires should wear protection.

Ah right. Think he might be better wearing a helmet as well. In fact all umpires should wear protection.


There was an umpire who did wear a helmet in a T20 game recently. I prefer the shield option as there isn't the risk of obstructing the view.
