Woakes is a bit of a concern atm. He seems to have gone for plenty in the PP overs in all 3 matches up to now. He seems to claw it back later, but his first spell seems to give the opposition some impetus. Toppers keeps it tight and forces the batters into making mistakes

I'd be tempted to go pace off here and chuck the ball to root for couple of overs....he's done it before mix it up a bit

Woakes is a very experienced bowler, though, so if he's bowling hittable lengths (and I'm led to believe that it's length rather than line), then it's probably because he's bowling to a plan, rather than him not knowing his business. If he is, then the plan has holes in it.

Haven't been watching yet ; but this is getting a bit concerning for England ! Even if the pitch is great for batting they might be facing a pretty challenging target unless they can get some wickets soon. Continuing with the out of form and reportedly recently ill Woakes doesn't seem to have worked well so far - and may hint at a touch of inflexibility in their approach ?

Hopefully will hit back as the game continues...
