A lot about playing in these conditions is about patience. You have to be disciplined, and when the ball does nothing, hang in there and bowl tight. Usually these slow pitches mean scoring rates are lower too, so when the ball does nothing they have to look to bowler tighter. Make the batter try to force the issue.

Khan loses it and there you go. Bowl tight non buffet crap and people lose patience.

Khan is one of the best players of spin that ever lived, why they didnt give him rotating seamers is a mystery. He will eat bowlers like Rashid and Ali all day.

issue is that pakistan didn't want to spend money on the technology.
In a weird way I am quite happy they not using it in this series makes the english cricket media shout more about ICC paying for the system.
Generally this aspect of the DRS has been often glossed over.

yeah although I suspect he hit it but with no snicko/hotspot suspecting 3rd umpired job gonna be hard in this series especially with umpires never being consistent with those decision.

Without those aids though, I guess you have to say its the right decision. No evidence of grounding, sound as the ball passes, no daylight.

Tbf I prefer no snicko, I think its utterly useless anyway, and if hot spot and snicko disagree, the umpire usually picks hot spot

another thing to look out for is the camera they use.
Read somewhere that the quality of the cameras used in non England/Australia test match affect the hawkeye accuracy by a decent margin compared to the one used in Australia/England.
About time ICC standardise the DRS and pay the cost or pay half of it.

It's crazy that some tests have DRS and some don't. And those that do have it don't always have the same tools for each test series.

There must have been 5 minutes taken on that review. There may be a small crowd in but you could hear the slow hand-clapping.
