Jonathon Woodgate announced as the new Middlesbrough boss.
I had a lot of time for Woodgate as a player and I wish him well

A lot of controversy coming out of the Copa America at present, with Messi being a vocal critic.
After seeing his red card against Chile I think he has a fair reason to be annoyed. Would love to hear the referees reasoning for that red card.

The Messi red didnt even enter the top 10 of shocking decisions of the tournament, which probably showed how much of a farce the tournament ended up being. I expect in the next 25 years some people are going to end up in prison over that semi-final match.
That Otamendi foul (I think it was him, first stonewaller of the match when Aguero was fouled I think, might be otherway round)..... I am sure the Brazilian threw an elbow. To me in full time live I thought it was a red card. For the ref to see it and not think its a red card, ok we can debate that, they didnt give another angle so I cant prove its an elbow, but certainly to me it looked so). For the ref to see it and not think its a penalty is extremely worrying..... For the ref to think it was so unquestionably not a penalty (its the most blatant one you could ever see) that he doesnt even use VAR for a second opinion..... farce.
The fact that it happened twice in the game? Only makes a jot of sense if the game has been bought.

Cagliari fans once again show that they have learned nothing. The racist chanting against Lukaku follows last seasons chants against Kean. Nothing was done then, will the Italian FA do anything this time?
Not that it ever went away, but Racism seems to becoming a bigger problem in the modern game.

And now for Lukaku his own fans saying that he did not receive racism.
What will inter do with their own fans after those comments justifying the attack on Lukaku. One of the most shocking justifications in recent times.
The Italian FA and UEFA must now step up. Incredible, though maybe not considering the times we now live in.

Weird to see Alex Neill, manager of second placed PNE, very strongly linked to second to bottom Stoke

Bayern sacked their manager which could mean that an elite manager is taken off the merry go round if Arsenal, Man U or Spurs decide to bin off their managers.
Mourinho will be in running.
Allegri would be cleverer
In short term might even see Jupp back.

Eriksen as your Ajax player is a low bar.
Wouldn't have him in my all time Ajax XI

Problem is most Ajax players have gone on to play for Madrid, Barca or Milan
