You're right it's a huge debate, and its only proper to have an age bar in civilised society.

On the other hand it is legislating against nature, and we have all seen girls of that age who look a lot older and are clearly sexually mature. If he was able to prove he didn't know her age he would probably get away with it, in the same way he would have probably avoided prosecution if he'd been 17 or 18.

Of course, not every person is as immature or mature as the next, but you need to set the bar somewhere? Different and lengthy debate that.

I remember a case in America a few years back where a teacher was charged with having sex with a 15 year old. She was convicted, and appealed her decision all the way up to the supreme court. By the time she had her case heard years later, she had married him and had a child with him, and he was 24.

She was then told she needed to go to jail for 19 years for raping him. :facepalm

Must admit there was a female teacher at my school that I wouldn't have minded having her wicked ways with me when I was 15!

Certainly wouldn't have grassed her up to the authorities if she had, mind you I would have been bragging to all my mates.

Yeah they had no option.

Can't play many games when he's likely to be spending time at Her Majesties pleasure.

Now I'm very dim........ but how on earth has the grass knitted together in a week and a half, and in January? Surely having 22 footballers running, kicking and sliding all over it will just tear it up?

Wigan Athletic have managed to lay a spanking new surface this week, just in time for their match against Oldham Athletic.

Pitch looked rather moist on the TV footage but didn't tear up.

There are rumours floating around in the Norwegian press this morning that Man United have received a bid somewhere in the region of the world transfer record amount from a club in China for Wayne Rooney, and that United are ready to accept.

Been these rumours floating about for days, but even £20-30 million for Rooney who seems past his peak would be very good for United.

England women lost to USA last night... I didn't even know there was a tournament on. They play Germany on Sunday night, and the good old BBC have deigned to screen the second half......... not the first half though.... that would be silly. In fairness it does clash with MOTD2, and it's not as if the BBC have more than one channel :angry
