Transfer deadline day has never really been exciting and Sky's attempts do little to persuade me otherwise.

I noticed while watching one of the games on BT at the weekend they are going for the yellow ties and outfits theme for their presenters of the deadline day coverage as well , same as SKY do, think that was started by jim white

I remember jim white from when he used to present highlights of Scottish football on STV , he was even more wooden then than he is now

he is/was a staunch rangers supporter and used to get slagged off a lot on a programme called "only an excuse" which I don't think you guys would have seen down here, it was a comedy sketch show all about Scottish football that started on the radio and ended up having a couple of TV specials a year, was really really funny

As with all stories, opinion seems to be split. I don't know the ins and outs, but as one person said, he' happy to speak to a newspaper, but not the police.

I was going to post earlier about this because I was a bit unhappy that he had involved somebody totally unconnected to him in his suicide attempt. But then I thought the poor bloke must have been that down he wasn't thinking clearly and it may have been a spur of the moment thing and he wasn't thinking rationally enough to consider the effect it might all have on another person. In hindsight he probably regrets involving this person, i hope so.

If you throw yourself in front of a lorry, its fair to say that you probably are ill enough to not be thinking straight.

Disappointed with Ralf Little#s reaction, he claims to understand, flight against stigma and have lived with depression, so he also must understand that turning your back on it and criticising it publically is dickish.

I know what its like to be around, it is horrible, but you have to accept that the person never means badly....

I'm not convinced it was better, but less of it, made it more appealing when it was on the TV.

I watch some of the old TV games and there are pros and cons. The game is more skilful today but sometimes making mistakes can make for an entertaining game. No one dived around in those days and commentators didn't scream with excitement at the least thing.

Last time I seen him on TV he basically said everyteam in the world was rubbish, every player is poor, every manager does not tactics..... no wonder he never gave interviews as a professional
