Ronaldo didnt have a good world cup at all, and Messi though more influential than in previous world cups, Javier was arguably the more important player.

The awards are a load of tripe anyway, so who cares who people voted for.

So Ramos is the best right back in the world, but actually hardly played in the position since Real bought Carvajal from Leverkusen..... Lahm is the best left back in the world but actually hasn't played there since Guardiola went to Bayern, and even his national team manager plays him in Midfield..... The best CB's in the world are two Brazilians, the first looked like an amateur in his countries worst loss in history and didn't look much better for Chelsea while he was there..... the other hasn't played this year since the world cup where a stupid booking let his team down, and the last important tournament before that it was his rubbish marking against Chelsea and him giving a penalty away that knocked his team out the Champions league..... pretty sure, Silva has only played about a years worth of football in the last three years, and the French press think he is finished, and the Brazilian press were all over him for mistakes at the world cup....

If anything, these awards show how little people actual know about football, and how lazy people were in just putting a high profile name in without thinking.
