I remember them playing Real Madrid a couple of years back too.

Correct they lost 0-6.

I remember a Ronaldo free kick hit a young lad and broke his wrist. He later got a signed shirt from all the players. Quite a story to tell your mates!

See that Joe Hart dropped a changer on his debut for Torino

Joey Barton is now being investigated for betting on football matches shortly after being banned by Rangers for three weeks for a training ground bust up.

Apparently he has also made comments that he regrets signing for Rangers and would rather have gone to Celtic who also approached him.

I suggest the three week ban is likely to be a lifetime ban as far as Ranger's are concerned!

Kept a clean sheet this weekend. Although judging on the Italian football highlights on Spanish TV, he had one thing to do all game, and it wasnt that hard. Although his move is being treated with big pomp in Torino, the fans seemed to love him.

He had a rather cringe worthy presser before the game where he read out a prepared statement in Italian using his normal accent. They must think he is stupid

There will be a large increase in Head and Shoulders shampoo in Torino though.....

The bloke is an odious ****. Shouldn't be anywhere near football but he only gets £20K a week which is why a lot of clubs take an interest - in football terms he's cheap.

He has been very poor at Rangers this season. I think Rangers might be using this as a way to get him of their wages. Not sure he has too many friends left now, this might be the end of his career. Also would be surprised if Celtic wanted him over the Summer.

Looks like the Pep, Toure and Toures agent is going to keep running for a while yet, with no hint of an apology and Dimitri Seluk having another pop at Pep today.

I guess Yaya is more than happy to pick up 200,000 a week for a year to do nothing.

Just to make it even more crazy, the award for the best referee in the Spanish leagues is The Guruceta Trophy. Named after the referee Emilio Guruceta. The very referee of the Forest vs Anderlect game.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guruceta_Trophy

https://the-fifth-pine.com/2016/01/09/t ... ta-trophy/

Forest have never been adequately compensated for this, and Anderlect got of very lightly.

Apparently filmed at a hotel in the New Forest earlier this month, explaining how easy it is to bribe lower league staff (due to the lower salaries).

I imagine we'll sack him tomorrow, or at the very least suspend him. His appointment over the summer in the first place was hardly met with a warm reception, so I'm not sure anyone would shed a tear.

Rachel Riley seems to be all over Sky footy at present.

Does she know the game well or is she just there for obvious reasons?

She does know a bit about footy, a big Man U and Ryan Giggs fan. I seem to remember he came on Countdown to present her with a signed shirt to mark some achievement or other.

She is a cracking sort and a maths genius to boot.
