Just seen the Seamus Coleman leg break. His right leg was a total mess by the look of the slow mo, flopping around like it had no bones left in it. Going to be a slow road to recovery for him, probably only fair if Taylor was banned for a similar length of time.

He put Tadic out for well over a month before Xmas, after breaking his nose with a high boot on international duty. Now he's gone even further.

Griezmann just scored for France. Ref consults the video assistant ref and he disallows it for offside. So it works...

Took approximately 90 seconds to overturn two decisions, which is far too long for a sport which does not pause for play. For example it takes as little as 8-10 seconds for a team to score from a counter attack. Referring a decision for so long denies a possible goalscoring opportunity.

At least with goal-line technology any decision is made in almost real-time. Any technology used to assist with officials decision making must make a firm decision within that 8-10 second timeframe to maintain the fluidity of football, otherwise the sport becomes like Rugby or Americanised.

just watching CNN and they had some coverage of this weeks south american qualifying for the world cup and argentina are in danger of not qualifying. they are in 5th place in the table with 4 games to go, its pretty bunched up between places 2nd to 8th so a good finish and they will be fine but any more slip ups like losing to bolivia yesterday and they might not make it
