England starting XI: Butland, Clyne, Smalling, Cahill, Rose, Dier, Henderson, Alli, Lallana, Welbeck, Kane
Germany starting XI: Neuer, Can, Rudiger, Hummels, Hector, Kroos, Khedira, Muller, Ozil, Reus, Gomez

Both sides seem to be experimenting somewhat ahead of the Euros....

Germany unlucky to have that Gomez shot ruled offside.

Smart football by Kroos...he could see that Butland was limping, and his shot from outside the area beat the injured keeper.

Khedira and Gomez made that second goal look so easy....

Kane pulls one back...2-1.

Vardy on as a sub, and scores! It's 2-2!

This Rooney-less England isn't half bad. Now for it to be a Henderson-less England too please Roy.

Henderson does play reasonably well for England for some reason. May be time to hope Rooney, Wilshere and the like don't make it back to full fitness.

I defy anyone to want the likes of Rooney and Carrick back into this starting XI. Rooney into the squad, yes. But that's it.

I also defy anyone to say that Pochettino isn't the best manager in the PL. I said ages ago that Utd and Chelsea should be looking in his direct for their next manager. He transformed us. He's transforming Spurs. And he's done more for the England team over the past four years than any other manager, despite not even being English.

Well, tactically he put a CB at DM and with marauding FB's, just told him when the full backs go forward, you drop back to the CBs to make a three.... its simple, but it works. Also seems to develop youngsters brilliantly.

As for the game, I think that England were brilliant. Quick, direct, composed football.

Hopefully we never see Wayne Rooney near the team again.... or Carrick.... or Milner.

The only change I would make is Henderson, and look at another CB option because Cahill looks crap at the moment

Strange isn't it?

We beat Germany in a friendly and people get carried away.

We beat them 5-1in a qualifying group once but guess which team later went on to reach the WC final a year later.

The general gist on the European front is that England looked very impressive on the ball, and that for a young side, they have shown they have a lot of potential
