The Journos thrive on negativity, and they push it all the time.

It is disgraceful.

This is why I stopped buying newspapers - they are not happy unless they are dishing out the dirt. Just let him get on with managing England over the next few games and judge him on results. These jounos that write muck like this probably have much bigger skeletons in their own closets.

Gareth Southgate relegated the only club he managed in his only full year of management experience. In his first year he didnt even have the requisite coaching badges required and controversial was allowed to continue.

He had budget as well. He spent 20 million Euros on one player..... a player who within 18 months of being signed, was playing in the second of bottom team in the Qatar First Division because he was deemed so bad, he couldnt even get a contract at a League Two side.

His record as a manager is terrible. His record at judging players is terrible. He has virtually no experience.

Quite how he is anywhere near the England senior team role is beyond me.

The press rightfully should be attacking this utterly unfathomable appointment in any which way possible.

2 minutes in, Wazzer gets done by a Maltese part timer and Malta have a decent break chance......

He even requires too much time on the ball against players who play for Valetta Gladiators

Poor finishing so far. How did Sturridge get it over from there?

Rose, who is a bit injured, replaces Bertrand, who is now a lot injured.

Have only watched a few minutes of the second half, its all pretty clueless drivel, struggling to break down a wall of defenders.

Rooney is pretty much ambling around the pitch passing sideways. Couple of mph slower than everyone else on the pitch.

Norway have had nearly 80% possession away to Azerbaijan, but Azerbaijan had one chance and scored.

Missed the 2nd half, plus the end of the 1st. 2-0 doesn't sound all that good, though I expect Southgate will say something like "there's no easy games blah blah blah"

For all the problems England supporters have with their national team, you have to feel sorry for Scotland supporters. Presently loosing 0-1 to Lithuania :lmaoagain

2-0 doesn't seem particularly impressive

Wales luck seems to have deserted them. Georgia were good for the draw last night.
