Didnt watch that one, but I did watch the Iceland v Finland game.... what an ending that was for an Iceland team that had looked destined to lose after a poor penalty had them down for all but 1 minute of the 90 minutes of normal time.

Saw one player manhandle the ref at the end and just got a yellow.

Well the Finland team were furious about the 95th minute winner.

Not only did the ref not see a handball, play more time than was indicated by the board.... but the ball doesnt even appear to cross the line initially.

So when he gave the goal it turned into mayhem

I can appreciate that but the player still should not have handled the ref like that.

Well England play the mighty Malta tonight in Gareths first game as manager.

Wonder if there will be any shocks in the team selection this evening. No point in putting out the usual team in my mind. A chance for Southgate to show he is his own man and possibly male some tough calls. Rooney on the bench?
