She is a good manager with a very good record but can't stand her as a person, she really is up herself and to be honest i hope she flops as USA boss and brings her down a peg or two

Rachel Daly retires from international football

I'm not that surprised, tbh. Her versatility at left back got exposed a bit during the world cup and now that her role is limited to that of a striker, is for some reason always behind Russo in the number 9 pecking order, regardless of the number of goals she scores in the WSL. She hasn't really made herself impossible to leave out of the starting XI when she has had opportunities from the bench. It's a pity really because I always thought that she came closest to having the Ellen White attributes that (I think) England now seem to miss. Russo's skill set is very different and clearly is the way the manager wants to go

Newcastle women secure their promotion to the championship with 2 matches still to play, courtesy of a 10-0 drubbing of Huddersfield Town

Newcastle got promoted into it

Sunderland screwed up their promotion charge and now can't go up to the WSL

Durham did their best to get relegated out of it, but were let off the hook by Watford and Lewes and are now safe

Lots of rivalry next season

Went to see the Chelsea - Barcelona game. Firstly the atmosphere was electric. Plenty of Barcelona fans around us and they were loud and passionate. The ref though was abysmal. The ball hit her twice, she missed 2-3 obvious fouls and I thought that 2nd yellow was very harsh. The penalty was the correct call though. I haven't heard it but apparently Hayes was moaning about that.
I do think in massive games like this, the best referees should be allocated, be it male of female. I don't this ref but she had a shocker. That said, Barca were worthy winners.

wasn't there a sending off for 2 yellow's? I seem to recall that was what she was moaning about. She clearly didn't think that one of them was a yellow and felt that was the point around which the match turned. I might be misremembering of course

Yep two yellows. Of course with only 10 players Chelsea were up against it but for me, they already were.
