I absolutely believed that a win over Spurs today would get us CL football next season... even before we got mauled by Villa. Just got to make sure we don't do anything stupid against Leeds, Everton, Southampton, Chelsea and Leicester

yes they do. I think there were 20,000 spare seats for the City - Sheffield Utd game. Mad that two teams from the north have to travel down, especially given the current financial climate. I'd imagine some City fans were confident enough of winning that they waited for the final?

It's an odd thing, but I think Man Utd are a pretty poor team atm, yet they beat us to win the league cup, are now in the FA cup final and top 4 in the league. Only Seville have really taken advantage of the poor side they are

I have literally no idea what Spurs were doing, every time Newcastle got the ball, the Spurs players just dropped off them and retreated, and there was no pressure or pressing the ball directly at all. It allowed Newcastle's midfield to basically bring the ball up to the edge of the box at will. Christian Romero is one of the better CBs in the league, but he had a day that can only be conjured up in nightmares. The two Spurs CMs were also atrocious, just kept letting Newcastle players inbetween the midfield and defensive lines, without making an effort to track or close the space. Made Willock look like peak Zidane with all that space.

I agree though, the pass for the 4th was top, top class.

Kane's only goal will be forgotten, but that was an absolutely top goal also.
