The referee association issues an apology to Brighton after yesterday's robbery at White Hart Lane. I dont want an apology, I want an investigation into match fixing, and the referee in question fired never to return.

Sorry, but if you have 5 minutes and as many slow mo replays as you like, how can you not see the foul on Mitoma? Everyone in the world seen it. It was blatent. He stamps on his frigging foot. I simply do not believe the referee decided with any level of honesty that was not a penalty. And if he didnt think it was a penalty, he is not fit to serve the game.

Of course, the frequency at which decision making seems to favour the top clubs makes me think, like with all the others, he did know it was a penalty, but didnt want to cause Spurs to lose points.

And the net effect is, thats Brighton's top 4 hopes dashed, and a kick in the balls for European football.

Oh well, I am sure the FA are secretly happy.

Brighton could have been 1 point behind Spurs with 2 games in hand, I believe, had they won that game

there definitely needs to be an overhaul of the VAR process. If I have the right incident in my head, it didn't go to VAR, but VAR is supposed to be there to correct clear and obvious errors.... that was a clear and obvious error and it didn't look at it. This happened a lot last summer in the women's Euro's where VAR seemed to be an arbitrary thing... well it can't be, it has to either be there or not be there

Probably the worst refereeing performance I've seen at this level. Brighton were robbed but he even sent off the Spurs manager, for what? Not controlling his staff? So get involved and try and calm down, red, do nothing, also red.

I'm trying to work out the Wilson handball. If the ball did hit his elbow, and I remain to be fully convinced, his arms were by his side, and if there was a touch it was when his back was turned and it took the ball away from him, so not only was there no control, it will have made the resulting strike much harder for him. Matters not, of course in this case, unlike the bullion heist at White Hart Lane

I am more inclined to ask why the player is going to an official at the conculsion of the half, and seemingly physically barging into him while shouting in his face. I take it the FA will be giving Robertson a ban like Mitrovic?

Yeah as if.... Robertson plays for LIverpool, not Fulham

I haven't seen the Robertson thing, but Fernandes (I think) did something a few matches ago involving the 4th offial and afaik there were no repercussions

the reason I ask is that the new stadium is still in the area of the old one, so although it's called the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, or something, it might still be on White Hart Lane..... but I don't actually know
