As bad a person as Ashley seems he really has nothing on the new owners.

I guess when a large amount of clubs are owned by dubious characters, it wont matter too much.

Yep, its a sorry state of affairs.

I think the main feeling is a mixture of relief that the fat boy has finally skulked away and a sense of optimism for the future of the club. Everything else is for later.

Who would you want, Footman?

It's a shame that Rafa signed for Everton, tbh. He would have ticked all the boxes for everyone, I think.... players, fans and board.

I don't know enough about managers to express an opinion, really. I only ever watch Newcastle and England, so I know nothing about players or managers outside of that rather limited bubble

but with no transfer window until January, the papers will have a field day

by the time January comes around the club will have been linked to every player in the world and it will have become a bit tedious

Wonder if the Saudis will go ballastic in the market

I hope not. I'd be mortified if they did a Man City. Remember when they tried to scupper Berbatov's move to Man Utd on the last day of the transfer window? Tacky!

It would be very easy to become the most hated club in the land, so I hope they don't let that happen

Leicester beat Manchester United 4-2.

Not even Ronaldo could make a difference.

Ronaldo will probably still finish above Salah in the Ballon d'Or.

January feels a very long way off for Newcastle

11 games, no wins and 5 points :no

I think there's yet another international break coming up, so at least things can't get any worse for another fortnight, which gets us 2 weeks closer to January

manager culling season atm

Spurs, Newcastle, Watford and Villa. 20% of the Prem managers and all in a couple of weeks.

Might be 25% soon
