Man City have just run away with this - whilst Liverpool have imploded in an incredible way!

Utd just haven't been good enough to keep pace with Vity but we've also had the decisions against Shef Utd, the last minute equaliser by Everton and there was another dodgy decision recently that cost us a win (struggling to remember it now though!) so with those 7 points we would have only been 4 points behind City - but we have also been a bit lacklustre in some of the dras recently so can't reallysay we deserve to be top.

Feel a bit sorry for Steve Bruce - if he could keep Wilson, Saint-Maximin, Fraser and Almiron fit then I don't think they'd be in this position

that's why teams have squads

Players get injured all the time.

I think Newcastle's problem is that when the transfer window was open Newcastle looked reasonably safe, so the fat boy didn't bother doing any business other than bringing in a loan kid from the Arsenal and getting rid of a right back. In the past when Newcastle have looked in any danger he's got his cheque book out, but this time it's too late, so his spend nowt/finish 17th/take the PL money policy is likely to bite him on the @rse.

The daft thing is that he doesn't trust his managers to buy players, so he does that himself.... liking a bargain as he does..... so instead of trusting the blokes who know their football, the daft turnip repeatedly scrapes the bottom of the bargain bucket and then on a whim inexplicably pays £40m for a striker who since being signed has managed 3 goals or something in the last 2 years (usually against lower league opposition in the cups) and who has had to be turned into a makeshift winger to try and prevent him from having to play in the reserves every week (if they even have reserve matches any more) and now that Wilson is out for the foreseeable, he finds himself scuffing every ball that lands at his feet. £40m!

In another year, Newcastle would have been safe enough (there are always 3 worse clubs... the fat boy depends on it), but Fulham are suddenly on a flyer and that's left Newcastle vulnerable. They deserve to go down and the fat lad deserves to lose a shed load of money.... and serves him right for taking the ssip with a football club

Newcastle survive another year..... more money for the fat lad to spend on buying out.....I don't know.... WH Smith's or some ailing retailer

Fortunately, the Fulham train ran out of steam and they were unable to apply the final bit of pressure that would have seen Newcastle capitulate, so with the pressure off, Newcastle were able to mount a bit of a recovery of their own.

Definitely got away with one there

Still we'll do it all over again next season.... who knows... might even survive another season and allow the fat boy to buy Poundstretcher or something with the winnings

Not just that, 4 games in 8 days if you count the UEFA league semi final last week. Pretty much mandated squad rotation. I guess Ole thought Leicester were a lower threat than Liverpool, given the match was at home for Man U and their very long winning record against Leicester. That backfired. Still, United fans have no-one to blame but themselves after storming the pitch and causing the postponement of the Liverpool game.

Huge result though, not just confirming the title destination (which has been a foregone conclusion since at least January), but also massively increasing Leicester's hold on a Champion's League spot. They have a rough run-in, but Liverpool will realistically now need to win all their remaining games to overtake Leicester and/or Chelsea (West Ham are theoretically in the mix too, but Liverpool have a game in hand).

Enjoyed the second half with the goal and the save from Mount were the two standout moments. Leicester rode their luck a bit but nice to see them win.
