The season was over as soon as VAR came in and allowed the balance between two pretty even quality teams to be totally blown out of proportion to the team with the most fans, and with the most people in the media willing them on. The first goal was a penalty to Man City. The second was offside.
Yet, like the last few weeks the Premier League will come out and try to defend these decisions, but its pretty difficult to keep doing it when so many different decisions are made. If Salah is offside, then how can they justify McGoldrick being offside at Spurs? If that is not a penalty, then why were Liverpool given a penalty in the CLs final when Sissoko handballed in the same situation? Net result? Essentially, the decision always goes to the bigger team. So far from sorting anything out, VAR is just becoming an excuse to rob teams.
In the last 2-3 games there have been some flat out BS calls.... the Dele Alli handball, the Chambers "foul"..... utterly rubbish. Its killing the season from all levels.
That Alli handball for instance, they said "he was under pressure"..... there is no rule about that, they just literally invented one.
