Well done England, although it sounds as though a healthy slice of luck was required. Still, you don't beat the number 1 team in the world through luck alone.

Somehow England are now number 4 in the FIFA rankings. That seems rather too high, but then, they've beaten Spain and Belgium recently. There have been signs that the team is potentially capable of great things, but they are very inconsistent, still.

Got away with one there, I think, but this is what happens when a totally dominant team fails to convert dominance into goals.

tbh, England could easily have walked away with a 4-1 win had they not spurned two gilt edged chances late on. Then it would have been hard to accuse England of being lucky

Another tactical masterpiece from the Waistcoat W*nker. The guy hasnt a clue. I guess next summer we will annihilate some subpar team like North Macedonia in the first game, everyone will flock to buy a waistcoat and proclaim its coming home, then we will play someone good and give the current Ballon D'Or winner 30 yards of space to create at will and get knocked out again.

And Southgate can go back tohis job at the FA writing Essays about why Bulldog spirit is so important for English football to realise its potential, only for him and Greg Dyke to bring in another d*ckhead who's only management experience is to have relegated a comfortable PL side after spending the 4 biggest amount of money in English history adding to a top half squad.

Because its all about the graft.... nothing to do with understanding the game and tactics.
