The English Football League 2016/2017

The beautiful game!

Forest sale has just fallen through by all accounts.

In the next 5 years Forest will probably not exists. The first European champions to go out of business?

Lots of players will be sold over the coming weeks. Where has all the money gone from previous sales. Since Fawaz has been in charge Forest have spent 23 mil on players and sold 32 million worth of players, whilst at the same time the debt has ballooned out to 100 mil, more than doubling from when Doughty was in charge. 7 million pound profit on players and 50 mil more of debt before the expected sales to come :facepalm

Worth noting that during this time many jobs have gone, there has been no CEO and the club has virtually been run by a skeleton staff. Even so the Doughty Academy has been producing some of the brightest prospects in the game.

It now looks like League 1 and administration.

If true, very bleak times coming up for this one proud club.

As a long time supporter and one time season ticket holder. This is feeling pretty shite at present.

The claims have always been that he has been putting in huge amounts of his own money. But I certainly don't believe that. He actually got the club pretty much debt free from the Doughty family. Certain debts only needed to be paid back when the club reached the premiership again. Considering the money now involved with TV deals, in theory they would be easily paid off if the club ever got there.

Fawaz is just hugely incompetent. We have had over 10 winding up notices due to late payments. We have been in embargo for nearly 2 years out of his 4 year ownership. He has no staff, he just has no idea what he's doing.

To give an indication, he sold Burke for 12 million so he could cover costs this year. But then he brings in 3 loan players to replace him, and all 3 are on higher wages than Burke :stupid No of them are even half the player he was. Then he brings in Bedntner as a marque signing on wages we can not afford and a player we did not need. Now we will be selling all our young players to get to the end of the season, and we will be asking where has all the money gone?

But the money must have gone somewhere, the club runs at a loss, and that is as much to do with Fawaz as it is with club costs.

Forest will go down this year, its a circus, and the value of the club will shrink. If we do not stay up we will be in Administration in the summer. We are going to look like Portsmouth.

Lansbury, one of the most loved footballers in the Championship has moved to Aston Villa for just under 3 million.

Contract expires in 6 months so not a bad deal for Forest, and it also gets the highest wage earner off the books.

But it means Forest have sold 18 million worth of players this season, and bought 300,000 worth of players.

Sadly for forest the window has not closed yet, and many supporters fear that a few youngsters will also be sold. Since Fawaz took over we have a £11 million deficit in transfer dealing. And people still claim he has used his money to prop up the club

2 Champions league winners slugging it out in the Championship at 17.30 today. 3 Champions league stars on show today.

Biggest game on in England today in my view :rasta

Chealksi vs Arsenal can not even claim that title. Only one champions league star on show today. :coat

We look to be heading out of the league if results keep going like this.

That will be the least of our problems though if our present owners are anything to go by.

A lot of teams down there struggling. Notts county goal difference might still have an impact on who goes down.

What have the current owners been doing?

Nothing. That's just it. It's a long story....

A recruitment firm from Essex took over a year or so ago with big promises.

Since then we find that we get regular winding up orders from the taxman which they always wait until the last minute to settle. The chairman - Gary Coxhall - borrows large sums of money which he says he is liable for but the agreements have appeared online and are quite clearly against the club. The loans are from Asset Management companies rather than the banks. When questioned about this he says that it would take too long to get finance from banks yet he was nit in a hurry for funds.

Coxhall was in partnership with an accountant called Peter Goldberg -a man with a dubious track record - this is traceable online. This man has since done a runner.

The original recruitment firm has gone bust and replaced by a company that owns the club but seems to have no other connection with anythingelse.

The owner has ambitions to buy our ground from the council. He also wants to improve it and build a new estate around it. As the area is pretty run down it would be like putting lipstick on a pig.

So the fans wonder why a small businessman from the other end of the country is interested in a constantly struggling lower league club.

This is only part of the story. Something stinks.

That does not sound good at all.

Does the owner ever go to the games Aidan? Doing a blackpool? Owner taking out as much as he can get whilst the club is still going.

Yeah he goes to games. A few weeks ago he said there would be a big announcement in January that would blow our minds.

Well it's mid-February and we're still waiting.
