There were no studs showing.

50 50, Jones acted like a big baby and got the West Ham player sent off.

Is the British press more intrusive than the media in Spain?

Is that causing problems?

Or is it because its not gong his way, he has not had to deal with this type of intensity before. He came from a league where there was only going to be one winner, and previous to that a league where there was at best a chance of three winners. Suddenly he has a team that is struggling to stay in the top 4, and there are no easy games. Pressure every week.

On top of that, he has spent a hell of a lot of money, and before he was named manager in Jan last year, City were traveling pretty well.

Cant pick a Catalan accent?? :)

When asked about the red card, he says "its too hard for him, not me"... and that the interviewer asks if there is a discipline problem, he answers that the interviewer is the specialist, and that he is still learning the English game. He then, when asked if he thinks England rules are different, says yes, he needs to understand why Bravo is at fault for the Burnley goal, because anywhere else in the world its a foul on the goalkeeper, so he needs to learn more about English rules.

The interviewer then doesnt understand that he is using the word "fault" instead of "foul", and therefore thinks he is saying it was Bravos mistake, but he is simply saying he believes Bravo was fouled and has to understand why its not a foul in England.

Then when asked if Man City are in the title race, he says "yesterday no, so why today"

Spanish media are more vicious, and Spanish fans have far less patience. However, the main difference is most media outlets are partisan, so Real Madrid papers are always on the attack, Barca ones would always defend. So in those terms, you are never really that far from vocal support in the press.

He has hinted at sections of the press in the last week that this is his last job, and today he apparently told CNN something that can be constructed as saying he was close to retiring.

Its no great suprise, he walked away from Barca early because he had had enough. I would guess that he doesnt enjoy managing, and the City job is more difficult and all encompassing on his life than he thought.

The CNN thing was reported in the Spanish press, so its hard to equate the exact wording (which I guess was in English), but apparently when asked to clarify what he meant by saying he wouldnt take another job after city, he said something along the lines of "yes, my career is coming to an end"

Who knows what is a red card these days, when it comes to tackling. Rojo dives in with two leg breaking tackles, gets nothing.

Francis makes a half hearted mis timed tackle, gets a red. The West Ham player goes in for a 50 50 with a Man U player, doesn't jump in, no studs showing, gets a red.

Good old inconsistent refereeing!
