A thankless task for anyone taking on that job, managing the most expensive group of players on the planet.

Even if you do win a trophy there's no guarantee you'll survive.

didn't Bosque win the CL in 2001(ish) and still get sacked?

He's the one that really comes to mind, I like you thought it was after a CL win, but having looked it up, it was days after winning the La LIga title in 2003. He won the CL in 2000 and 2002.

Best record in Real Madrid's modern era, and after he got the boot they went through their leanest period, four years without a trophy and 7 different managers!

I seem to remember it was common knowledge way before he went that he was going to get the boot, and it was irrelevant whether he won La Liga or not. Fell out with the hierarchy.

They're going down the Barcelona route of getting in ex players.

Perez seems to want to find Real Madrid's answer to Guardiola. Problem is that Guardiola was a complete one off.

They should never have sacked Ancelotti.

But gets criticised by Zidane for neglecting defensive duties.

So Real will spend 200 million Euro's in the next window to make up for the one they miss, just like Barcelona?
