was just looking at the live text updates on the bbc site and they are adding pitch diagrams showing "how a goal was scored" , does this diagram from the Swansea-Newcastle game really do much to show what happened ?

Not really. Everton just had a poor season last year (largely because of the Europa League, in my view). But they are still a class team, with an excellent squad. Better than ours, and on a par with Spurs'. Some people forget that prior to last season, they were top seven year on year for quite a while.

And on the other hand, we played 45 minutes without a Schneiderlin replacement, 90 minutes without a Toby replacement, and 90 minutes without an injured Bertrand. Throw in no Clyne (sold) and no Forster (injured), and we were playing with just TWO (Fonte and Wanyama) of the seven players who made us so rock solid at the back last year.

We're weaker, we're more open, and we're in desperate need of at least one class defensive signing over the next fortnight.

I told everyone on the predictions thread that there was little chance of us repeating last season (or Everton repeating theirs, for that matter).

Everton winning 3-0 away from home against you lot surprised me.

Leicester still top. Only 36 more games to hang on!

same old arsenal in the first half here , been absolutely dominant but go in level at half-time

after all the criticism of playing too narrow last week they have been the same here really , cant understand why ramsey plays wide right when they have Walcott and chamberlain available, he drifts central all the time

Pretty even since the Palace equaliser. Referee incurs the wrath of the home fans by treating two very similar tackles with differing punishments just before half time.

I don't know if it is true or not, but apparently since the start of last season, when Bellerin has played RB in the league it has often been Ramsey ahead of him. But when it's Debuchy at RB, it has often been Theo or Chambo.

Well that's been the case for about four years now. I don't get the impression that he's the sort of footballer who is ever likely to change.
