Football league 2014/15

The beautiful game!

Football League uphold their decision to disqualify Massimo Cellino from owning Leeds United, though he can resume ovnership from 10th April once his conviction of tax evasion is spent. Despite this the club will appeal, either through the FA or UK court.

On another note, a Leeds fan on twitter with an interest in finance claims the club is around £33 Million in debt. "£20,914,000 owed to GFH, £8,428,192 owed to Eleonora Sport, £2,539,369 owed to Eleonora Immobiliare and £1,274,581 owed to Massimo Cellino." So much for Cellino claiming the club has gone from insolvency to debt free within a year.

Let's hope it keeps the team eye off the ball tomorrow night, because Elland Road ain't a nice place to go on a cold January evening.

So, they owe 20 mill to a former investor who sits in a Dubai jail for fraud for the last 6 months, and they owe 13 million to their current owners family businesses, a person who is currently not allowed to be involved because he is a crook essentially.

And the League were satisfied that the two takeovers were "thoroughly" investigated when they went through?? :facepalm

If the Football League had their way then Cellino wouldn't be anywhere near Leeds United, instead they have got over-ruled by third party on loopholes and technicalities.

Not a nice place to go any time of the year really. Certainly not for visiting fans. Vile abuse, death threats, good hidings behind the stand...and that's just the stewards.

I don't think we'll be taking many up there tonight, unless one or two decided to stay in the area after the Rotherham game and make a mini break of it. We haven't got the greatest of respect for Leeds and their fans after 1990.

Its incredible really.... Leeds in 13 home matches and 14 away matches have scored 23 points at home, 6 away..... always a team to avoid playing at Elland Road, but lame ducks away from home.

I think we can beat Ipswich tonight, faith in the club is restored as finally got a decent manager in! 3 wins out of 4 so far, and were apparently unlucky at the weekend

Leeds are our bogey team, have only beaten them once in thirteen meetings. They've taken six points off us this season.

Hope you're right about Brighton, at least get a draw, which will mean we'll almost certainly stay top until our next league game in 9 days time.

That would take an occurance of such improbability, miracle wouldn't do it justice.... Mid table comfortability is fine, build for next year and a possible push upwards

No manager but we scrape two home wins in a row - still well in the mire though as others have games in hand. Not impressed that we get through two previously successful managers in half a season!

Historically we've always done well with a sound defence despite the world and his friend calling for strikers - rather win 1-0 than lose 4-3 any day of the week.

Our new owners seem to have done a disappearing act.

No word since they took over despite promising full transparency. And why is the chairman of the former owners still going to our games?

It's all a bit worrying.
