So much for the FFP fine...City are still throwing money around.

You say that as if we're the only team to do it.

Thus far, United have spent an obscene amount on average players...yet again.

I agree, BUT United haven't been hit with a FPP fine, yet.

We'll never be hit with a FFP fine. We get too much income to ever have to worry about that.

Glazers have cost us like 70 million a season that could have been spent on players. But maybe United wouldn't have become so comercial without them.

Man Utd will also soon be getting in about £140m a season in sponsors (Adidas, Chevrolet, Aon).

Brendy, you conflicted by these signings by Pool from Southampton?

Not really.

I guess if they had to go somewhere, then I'm glad that they've gone to Liverpool. Still means I can follow them from afar. But it does also make me laugh slightly at Liverpool's transfer policy. They clearly can't be aiming for the title this season, because spending £50m on three Saints players doesn't fit that bill. All three were brilliant for us, and can play higher. But they're hardly going to be difference between finishing above the likes of City and Chelsea, and not finishing above them.

And as for Saints, well I'd much rather have XI players who want to play for us. Yes all these departures (and soon to be departures) currently leaves our squad completely threadbare, particularly in defence, but it also leaves us with more cash than we could have ever dreamt of. If we spend it wisely, and spend most of it, then the next month could be very exciting for us indeed.

We've already been linked to Rojo and Forster - yes please on both counts. Plus half the Dutch World Cup squad. And I don't see why we can't at least try for some of the bigger name fringe PL players. The likes of Young, Agger, Lukaku, Moses, Lennon, Hernandez, Sandro, Enrique etc.

This is why FFP is a joke; the traditionally big clubs remain big whereas smaller clubs have no chance of ever reaching that level. Sad really.

Chambers officially gone. Even more Wonga in our back pocket.

And that Wonga may be about to increase even further. Apparently Schneiderlin and Rodriguez are close to joining Pochettino at Spurs.

I haven't seen any fees discussed, but I'd imagine somewhere between £35m and £50m for those two. Closer to £50m.

You must be a little worried that all these good players have left? having the money is very nice, but having the players, who also played well as a team is very very nice.

It all ended when Pochettino left. He screwed us right over. He is entirely to blame. I hope he crashes and burns at Spurs.

The moment he left, any chance we had of replicating last season was over. So the fact that we're now selling all of these players - players who are undoubtedly not as good individually as they are collectively - really doesn't bother me, given that we're getting cracking fees for them.

New-ish board. New management team. New era. So I would rather have players who want to play for club, and who the management want. Yes it relies on them all spending this money on the right players, but that is something I can't comment on until they do (or don't).

Yes, a new era. Not sure where I'm going to predict you'll finish, when we do the prediction league.

Spurs are reportedly going to spend £27m on Schneiderlin. The world's gone mad.

He's a massively important player for us. We were never going to let him go cheap.

And any way, didn't you spend roughly that (if not a little more?) on Milner? Morgan is at least twice the player Milner is, probably more.

20mil + Steven Ireland ( who was valued at 8mil ) was the fee for Milner.
